Actor Jeremy Renner is in “serious but stable condition” after injuring himself while plowing snow in Reno, Nevada, over the weekend, his spokesman said. According to entertainment website Deadline, the accident happened on Sunday and the ‘Hockey’ actor is receiving ‘excellent care’.

The outlet further stated that he was taken to the hospital after the accident. Mr. Renner is a two-time Oscar nominee and star of Marvel’s The Avengers and Captain America films. According to the Reno Gazette Journal, he has had a home in Washoe County, Nevada for many years.

The Reno Gazette Journal further reported that the area where his home is located received heavy snow on New Year’s Eve, knocking out power to more than 35,000 homes in Washoe and other counties.

Mr. Renner was nominated for Best Actor at the 2010 Academy Awards for his performance in The Hurt Locker. He was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘The Town’.

Mr. Reiner is currently appearing in The Mayor of Kingstown, which is streaming on Paramount+. Its second season is going to start this month.

According to Variety, the actor fractured his right elbow and his left wrist while filming the comedy.
