Malika Andrews is one of the most respected sports broadcasters in sports today.
With the NBA season starting this week, Andrews recently hosted a show where he offered his predictions for 2022-23.
What Richard Jefferson presented seemed like a non-controversial look.
For whatever reason Andrews had a strong reaction to it.
“I’m taking the Warriors out on the field,” Jefferson said. “I think they are the best team.”
“Even if Giannis is in the field?” Andrews inquired. “Even if Kevin Durant is on the field?”
“Have you seen Steph Curry?” Jefferson counterattacked.
“I’m just being clear,” Andrews replied.
Twitter had some strong reactions to Andrews and Jefferson’s back-and-forth.
This is not the first time Andrews has made headlines like this. Between her polarization on the New York Knicks and the high-profile alleged relationship with an ESPN employee, it seems she’s a mainstay in the news cycle these days.
And it doesn’t matter when Klay Thompson tries to get her attention or Jordan Poole tries to openly flirt with her.
Time will tell the Warriors’ performance in 2022-23, but clearly Andrews has already fallen on the wrong side of the fan base.
Will the defending champions finally be able to prove him wrong?
