Megan Thee Stallion spoke on social media on Friday, October 14, after her Los Angeles home was robbed the night before.
Referring to the incident, the 27-year-old rapper wrote a short message for his fans on Twitter: “Content may change but I’m glad everyone is safe.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the theft took place on the evening of Thursday, October 13. It was reported that two men broke a glass door in the book of the rapper’s house, taking cash, electronics and jewelry.
The Los Angeles Police Department could not confirm the theft to NBC News. They were not able to provide any additional information at this time, including whether there are suspects in custody.
Megan Thee Stallion was not at her Los Angeles home at the time of the theft. The “Body” artist is currently in New York City before taking on double duty as host and musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” on Saturday, October 15.
Earlier this week, she appeared alongside cast member Heidi Gardner in a promo clip on Thursday, October 13. The Texas native shared a series of photos on Instagram on Thursday wearing a full-length black lace bodysuit.
Minutes after Megan Thee Stallion shared a tweet in reference to the robbery at her home, she posted a candid message about her physical and mental health condition with fans on Twitter.
“Hotties I’m really sorry but after SNL I really have to take a break, I’m so tired physically and emotionally,” she wrote.
Last month, the rapper quietly launched his mental health resource website “Bad Bee—-Have Bad Days Too,” sharing a tweet by Shia Jordan Smith after confirming the news.
In another tweet, Smith shared the rapper’s message, which read, “Hotties! You know how much mental health means to me, so I’ve created a hub with resources for when you need it. ” Hands may be required.
