The official trailer for Yellowstone Season 5 shows Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton punching a woman before dancing with Jane Landon’s teeter. Maybe his sister-in-law Monica is out of frame?
Actor Kelsey Asbil walks the red carpet ahead of CMT’s Artist of the Year ceremony, which airs Friday nights on CMT (9PM ET). She was there to support singer Lani Wilson, who would play a character named Abby on the Paramount Network show when Season 5 began. Abby is friends with Beth Dutton, but she also shares a scene with Monica (Asabil).
“It’s really all the women of Yellowstone together in one scene,” Asabil says. “It was really fun. We get into some trouble.” Can you spot the problem?
Wilson — whose Bellbottom Country album ends on October 28 — will receive the Breakout Artist of the Year award during the pre-tape broadcast. Alan Jackson (Artist of a Lifetime), Walker Hayes, Kane Brown and more will be celebrated during the Nashville festival.
Asabil was the only actor from Yellowstone to walk the red carpet and talk to the media before the event. She admitted that she wasn’t familiar with Wilson’s music at first, but was blown away by the singer’s performance during an upcoming episode. They are also just good people.
“She’s so kind and so genuine. She works really hard,” she says. “She is so deserving of this award.”
Season 5 of Yellowstone starts on November 13. Fans of the show can enjoy our Dutton Rules podcast, which features cast interviews, show breakdowns, and more.
