Beth Dutton is the beloved character whose story is one of the most intriguing plot points in the Yellowstone series, but what can fans expect from Beth in Yellowstone Season 5?

If you were one of the many viewers whose eyes were glued to the screen watching Yellowstone Season 4, you’re probably wondering what’s going to happen to some of your favorite characters in Yellowstone’s next series — specifically, Beth. . , Dutton. Here’s what we know so far about Beth Dutton’s plot in Season 5 and what her relationship with Rip looks like in the coming season…

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton, commented that Beth’s marriage to Rip is not set to make any major changes to her characterization. Kelly said. “Marriage doesn’t change her. I think her love for him and her love for him is one of the very few things that keeps her demons at arm’s length”

In the same interview, Cole Hauser, who played Rip Wheeler, commented, “What I love about what [Taylor Sheridan] wrote is that he burns slowly with me and Beth this year. In the beginning, there are some wonderful moments between the two of us. There are some things she’s going through in her past, which she has to accept for the first time, and I’m trying to help her through that.”

Kelly said, “War feels internal to her this year. [she] is haunted by the past, fearing for the future and fighting with what she has for the present moment.”

In an interview with Vulture (opens in new tab), Kelly also talked about Beth’s relationship with her brother, Jamie. As fans of the show will know, Beth and Jamie have a complicated relationship as Beth blames Jamie for her infertility after she is taken to an abortion clinic. He also became a double crossing lawyer and later attorney general, which led to a lot of conflict on the show.

At the end of Season 4, fans see Beth blackmailing Jamie to kill her biological father in order to avenge her suspected attempt on her father’s life. This blew up when it was revealed that Jamie had actually tried to kill his father, John Dutton.

Speaking about where this leaves Beth and Jamie in Season 5, Kelly said, “In her mind, Jamie tried to kill her father. If you wondered what it would do to someone like Beth , so there’s no end point. I don’t think so. Anytime she goes, ‘I’ll get over this and forgive her.’ I don’t think it’s in Beth.”
